Katie was awarded the prestigious PROTOS Distinguished Service Award by the Public Relations Society of America / Orange County Chapter. Nationally, she has served as the Chair of the Indpendent Practitioner’s Alliance, and was honored to serve as Chair of PRSA’s Western District in 2013.
Katie’s contributions to one of the winning political campaigns on which she has worked was awarded the PROTOS Award of Excellence for a Social Media Campaign.

PR Projects has managed political campaigns, developed brand identities, and worked with cross-discipline teams to develop programs that helped shape policies in the water industry in the Western United States.
Katie’s experience includes working as a broadcaster and in public relations in Western Europe. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (California), and studied acting at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Katie also earned a Certificate in Public Relations at the University of California at Irvine and was Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Universal Accreditation Board in 1996.
